Abstract

The integration of immunopharmacology and pharmaceutics has revolutionized vaccine design, enabling the development of highly effective and safe prophylactic and therapeutic formulations. Modern vaccines leverage advanced delivery systems, adjuvants, and immunomodulatory strategies to optimize antigen presentation and immune activation. This review provides a comprehensive overview of contemporary vaccine technologies, adjuvant mechanisms, and pharmaceutical innovations that enhance immunogenicity, stability, and targeted delivery. Emphasis is placed on nanoparticle-based vaccines, mRNA and DNA platforms, and the rational design of next-generation adjuvants. Challenges in regulatory approval, safety assessment, and global implementation are discussed, alongside future directions in personalized and precision vaccinology.
